How much is the security deposit and how does it work?

Updated 7 hours ago

Security deposits are collected from producers upon booking, along with the rental payment and production insurance. It’s held in escrow for the duration of the shoot, and it’s used to cover any damage or overtime claims.

The security deposit is typically $1,000 per production day. However, certain properties or bookings may require larger deposit amounts, especially if working with uninsured productions.

We recommend that producers and locations perform a walkthrough to identify damages. If there are any damages or issues, you’ll have the opportunity to make a claim. Once the claim has been submitted, Set Scouter will notify the producer and use the security deposit appropriately.
