When you book the location, we will ask you to complete the following 4 steps:
- Location rental payment, including Set Scouter service fees
- Payment of a refundable security deposit, returned to you at the end of your booking if no claims are made
- Proof of insurance via a Certificate of Insurance, written for the location rented
- Specific hours of your production day
Below is more information on the Security Deposit and Insurance Requirements. Please explore the rest of our Help Page to learn more about the service fee, negotiating rates, and overtime policies.
When renting spaces, we collect a mandatory security deposit of typically $1000/day.
Damage and overtime claims will be settled from this deposit. We encourage producers and location owners to complete a walkthrough at the end of the production to identify any incidents.
If there are no damage claims, the security deposit is released and takes a few business days to appear back on your credit card statement. In case of damage claims, producers are charged a 10% transfer fee on the total damage amount.
Set Scouter requires production have a valid general liability insurance policy with a $1,000,000 minimum coverage (we reserve the right to request a higher policy in special circumstances). We require you to have the policy prior to production rental and require the following two co-insurable certificates for each production.
Please give yourself a full business day to procure these from your insurance provider. Your insurance provider should draft these free of charge.
